My Shiba puppy is 10 weeks old, and he's not eating very much. The breeder was giving him Royal Canin, but we bought Natural Choice and tried changing him over to the new food. No luck, so we went and bought a big bag of Royal Canin. We measure out a cup for him and see how much he eats during the day... About 1/2 a cup. He's playful and the vet says he's healthy, he doesn't show any signs of being sick at all. I personally think one problem is my BF was boiling chicken breasts and giving it to him as reward treats ( since he doesn't really like the liver training treats we got him ). I personally think all he wants is to eat chicken... He gobbles it right down if we give him a piece. Is he playing some puppy mind tricks on us to get us to give him chicken...? Maybe you could use Chappie in conjunction with something else. I wonder what a mix of Chappie and Applaws would do. Otherwise look at the ingredients in Chappie and see how it's different from other foods. There may be an ingredient or two that doesn't agree with him, and Chappie doesn't have it. If you can find another food with similar ingredients, it may work. Also you could look into adding probiotics to his diet. They help keep the digestive tract in line. Our kitten is about 7 months and we got him at 5 months old. We just started to notice he is shedding when you pet him but nothing where i was worried. well i would wait till the end of the month and see if he could return to his regular feed or not. If not I would talk to you vet and see if putting him on some sort of raw diet would be an acceptable alternative. It will probably cost more, and the diet has to include certain things in it but the vet should be able to help you get a raw diet started right if he needs it.

It could be the fact that you changed her diet to quickly and it upset her stomach causing her to have diarrhea that she can't hold. Any diet changes need to be done slowly by adding only a little bit at a time over the course of a week or more so the animal can adjust to the change. Since she isn't having accidents during the day you have at least part of the problem solved of house breaking. I would try taking this pup out just before you go to bed to see if it has to go if you aren't already doing this.

My dog is very sick, parvo maybe?

I am taking her to the vet in the morning, but I'm very worried about her tonight, and wondering what this may be. She has had diarrhea, so thin it looks like brown water and throwing up white or yellow foam. She does eat grass often normally, along with lettuce and cauliflower (she loves it as treats) but she hasn't lately. We haven't changed her food, she eats Royal Canin German Shepherd food because she seems to love it and we raise shepherds so one feed is easiest. She has not been anywhere, no kennel or groomer or anything, and all of our other dogs are healthy, and up to date on all shots, heartworm and flea prevention, and worming, all that good stuff. She started this yesterday, but seemed better before I had a chance to take her to the vet so I figured she maybe at something bad, but tonight/this evening she started it again, and too late to take her to the vet. What could this be? Anyone have this happen? And was your dog okay? I've read the symptoms of parvo and it seems like MAYBE it could be that, but I certainly hope not.

We feed our cat Blue Buffalo finicky feast for mature cats. And for treats we feed him Whiskas Temptations. He's doing just fine on the Whiskas and BB. I would be a little hesitant about feeding Royal Canin because all i've heard about their pet food is that its got some very bad ingredients, and it was actually recalled at least once. I've never heard of Felix pouches so i can't say about that. I volunteer at a cat shelter and some of the cats there are fed Whiskas and they are doing great on it! Haven't heard too much about it, but so far we haven't had any bad results with it. i'll probably get some thumbs down for this, but i'm just giving our experience with it

Look at the ingredients on those. I remember that I wasn't at all impressed and didn't see much difference in cheap/generic kinds. My 2 chichuahua's have horrible, chronic allergies and are allergic to almost every kind of protein. I finally found a life saver that took 2 years of horrible suffering for me to find. It's called "Natural Balance" by Dick Van Patten. It has an allergy formula. You can get the Duck and Potato, Venison/Potato or Vegitarian and there is a couple other mixtures but it is specifically designed for chronic allergies. Duck is the universal meat that most dogs who are allergic can tolerate. EGG, SOY, BEEF, YEAST, GRAINS Etc are the most common allergens. Compare the ingredients and you won't be disappointed. I also tried Hills and Royal and My dogs wouldn't touch it and I spent a fortune and ended up donating it to the pound. Anyway, you can get a 25 pound bag of Natural Balance For about 20.00 or 25.00. It has few but quality ingredients. You can't buy it at petsmart but you can at Petco, and many other smaller or exclusive pet stores carry this or most farm supply feed and seed. Do Not use Authority if has allergies, they have ingredients that aren't always allergy friendly. PetSmart Does Not carry any "limited ingredient" pet foods classified as allergy food. Maybe the BLUE brand will come closest. It is a very good high quality food but again, some have 1 or 2 ingredients that will still set off allergic reactions. My advice to you is defineately the Natural Balance Duck/Potato formula designed for allergies. It's what everyone uses who has any experience with their dog suffering.

Dogue de Bordeaux puppy weight?

We have a 5.5 month male Dogue de Bordeaux. He is a real joy and an absolute charmer! When we got him at 8 weeks he was 8kg. Recently we took him to the vet and he is 35kg now. He is of a very good built, no ribs sticking out, he is far from being skinny. We feed him Royal Canin Giant Baby and he seems to love it. I have a 9 month old Shih-poo puppy who has been a very picky eater since I got her. She is feed 2x daily now on Royal Canin Puppy 33. I give her about 3/4cups 2x a day. Her first feeding is at 7:00 and her last feeding is around 5:30-6:00. Sometimes she would go the whole day without eating and then she would be famished the next day and want to eat constantly. I have a 4.3U version of the Wii, I have a 4GB SD card, and I downloaded the HackMii installer, several wads, and I have IOS37patcher, wadmanager 1.7, and ciosrev206, which I put into an apps folder that I created. Also, I downloaded a HackMii folder from Mediafire and put the HackMii Installer into this folder. (by the way I used WinZip to extract the files onto the SD card). Unfortunately, when I put it into my wii, nothing showed up on the SD Card Menu or the Stage Builder in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. So, what do I need to do? Serious question - help with osteoarthritis in lab?

Its a long story but basically Ive taken on a 5 yr old lab x golden who was obese and stuffed with biscuits and cakes!!. Over 4 months Ive worked with him and got his weight down from 94lb to 85lb and its ongoing. He has had intermittent lameness over the last few wks and has been diagnosed today with mild OA. Why won't my Wii apps in the Homebrew Channel load up?

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this issue. My homebrew channel can't run most of my apps for some reason. I can run the snes emulator but I can't run the cios manager, wad manager or anything else, the screen just turns black. When I place a new wadmanager, cios instaler, etc. on the root of my SD card in the apps folder, the homebrew doesn't even read it. I recently upgraded to 4.3 U firmware a while back so I'm sure that's the problem.

I would definetly switch to a wet food mix. Much easier to digest and mix with water. I would have beat the kid within a inch of its life if that was my cat but I would try a different vet. It sounds like it needs to have its jaw wired and repaired. He needs X-rays...I am sure that first vet missed alot of stuff. I would actually report him to the vet board for review if your cat actually has broken bones and all he did was give it shots. Get it to the vet quick.

Do some research on struvite or oxalate stones in dogs. You will have to change his diet so that the pH of his urine is changed. There is no one diet that is good for all dogs so you need to know what you are doing with whatever you decide to feed. Joining K9Kitchen, a yahoo group would probably be a very good place to get help with his diet. Unfortunately, vets aren't usually that schooled in special diets and rely on prescription diets that although they are properly formulated are quite unpalatable for most dogs. I have a serious problem. I've googled and googled for answers, but I can't find anything. I HAVEN'T changed my dog's diet. She eats Royan Canin, breed specific dog food. I had my vet refer me to a nutritionist for dogs and this is one of the foods she suggested. My dog has been eating this food for months now, with no problems. My dog RECENTLY has had problems with extremely smelly gas! She passes gas so often and it reeks so badly, I just don't know what to do! She only has the occasional snack, and like I said, I haven't changed her diet. I read something about her anal glands needing to be "drained" by a vet, but that explanation came along with other symptoms, such as anal leakage, and "scooting" the butt across the floor, and my dog hasn't been doing any of that. Let me make it simple, she has NO symptoms other than having extremely smelly farts! She doesn't "lick" down there, nor has she done anything else out of the ordinary to indicate a problem. Does anyone know a remedy for this? Or anything I can do? She is literally clearing out the room with her stench and she's only a one year old Pomeranian!!!

We breed German Shepherds, and we feed royal canin german shepherd formula, our dogs seem to do the best on it, but it is one of the more expensive brands, so I understand not wanting/not being able to feed it, but I would recommend it. You can change their food more than once, but do it gradually, and canned food may make your pup have diarrhea. Whichever food you do choose to feed, check the ingredients and make sure it has NO or VERY LITTLE corn in it. Good luck!

I went to wiibrew.org and followed the directions. I renamed the sd card's private folder to privateold. I downloaded smash stack and saved its private folder under wii, then app, then RSBE, then st. I downloaded hackmii version 0.8 and put its boot.elf file in the same section as smash stack. I got rid of the rest. I deleted all custom stages off the wii and the sd card. The sd card is 1.0gb. I put the sd card in my wii, turned on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and went to stage builder. Nothing Happened!!! It didn't load. It didn't do anything. What did I do wrong? Please Help!!

I personally like the Cat Chow, but I'm not too picky. Also, I would give them a can of wet food every day to make sure they get the water they need. Rarely do cats drink enough water to keep themselves fully hydrated. Also, wet food has more of the fats and proteins that kitties need. Hope I could help!

Can anyone help me with Configurable USB Loader on the Wii?

I'm using it on the Wii, I'm also using Wii Backup Manager to add the WBFS folder to my NTFS Eagle Consus external hard disk drive which is a terabyte. It was working for a good while and all of a sudden I turn the Wii on, go to the homebrew channel and click on CFG USB Loader and get this countdown for 30 seconds. Then I found out that I have an old version so I updated it from v62 to v68 thinking that was the problem. It didn't work, instead I get 90 seconds with no help. I make sure I plug the cord into the correct USB port. Which is if you're looking at the front of the Wii when it's standing up is on the left next to the edge. I'm really hoping I got that right. I'll try both ports and see if anything changes. If anyone can help it will be appreciated!! My vet told me to feed my cat Urinary SO and I have some questions?

This week James wasn't looks too good. We took him to the vet (prepared to have him put down) and they said they could help him. After ALMOST $400, he was catheterized, drained and we were given a bag of Urinary SO from Medi Cal (and or Royal Canin) and they told us to ONLY give him that food and that they never get another cat in with crystals again. The biggest bag they have there is around $110 (for around 5.5 months for just one cat) and they want me to put all three cats on it. Just the male cat was ordered on it. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not. When I asked them about this other one called Fish and Potato with Blueberries from First Mate, they said to NEVER give him that one and that if I stray from the Urinary SO diet, the crystals WILL come back. Just looking for some guidance on this. I live in Ontario Canada and hoping there is something out there as good or better. I did start him off on the canned food and he likes that. He's not too happy with the bag.

I have read things from people saying Iams is okay for a German Shepherd puppy and others say its terrible. We have several IBD cats in our clinic that actually improved drastically after removing all dry food from their diets and switching over to a grainless raw one. If you are ok with medicating I would definitaly talk to your doctor about switching back over to a raw diet since your cat had been doing well on one before and is showing signs that a 'normal' diet is just not for him. If you do decide to switch back over to a raw diet and medicate you will end up with a corticosteroid to relieve the bowel inflamation, most likely prednisone, and an anti emitic to contrtol vomiting.

My dad has a dog that has been diagnosed with kidney stones and a UTI. She is a 9 year old spayed female rottweiler. I am not sure which kind of stones (struvite or oxalate) she has but she was treated with an antibiotic for the UTI and given a prescription food (i think it was royal canin urinary health) by the vet. My dad however can't really afford the prescription food and I have been looking into buying some food for the dog, but being well aware that many of these prescription diets,well may help regulate certain levels that help with urinary health, still use crap like by-products and corn. My Xbox recently got RROD, so now I'm getting a PS3 and have some money to get a couple games ($128.05, to be exact). I am really into RPGs, because I like to customize my character. I was really into Dragon Age: Origins when I had it, but I only got through it once with a rogue because I couldn't kill the Archdemon (I sucked and gave up). I have about 5 choices: Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, Dragon Age 2 Bioware Signature Edition, Fallout 3 GOTY, Final Fantasy, or Dungeon Siege III. I can get two of those 5 choices, unless there is anything better (and please don't say Oblivion, because I've beaten it about 5 times). I adopted a 6 month old female kitten 2 months ago from a shelter, she won't let me near her at all still,?

this little girl was found under a fire truck engine when she was tiny and is very timid,she was eating well up until 2 days ago,now i never see her eat, i try dry and wet food (she was enjoying royal canin just fine) and pieces of chicken and beef and tuna, nothing works these days, i got her medical cat grass as i thought maybe her tummy was ill but she is not interested, she knows where her litter is and roams the house freely, but i have never been able to touch her or go near her since i brought her home, she just either ignores me or runs away if i get too close,i do go to her often and talk very gently to her which she doesn't seem to mind and she normally sits on a windowsill in the sun or in a quiet place alone which is unusual for a kitten her age and won't play with me or the 9 month old kitten i adopted at the same time who is very friendly and full of fun,they know each other from the shelter and she adores him but when he wants to play with her she can't seem to handle it,when she thinks i am asleep at night she gets on the bed with the other kitten but as soon as she knows i'm still awake, she jumps off, yesterday i was sitting on my bed and left the room for 5 minutes and when i returned she was on the bed, i told her very gently i was proud of her and she was a good girl, but i didn't approach her as she looked scared and she then peed on the bed, i didn't scold her but she still hid from me for the rest of the day, i really don't know what to do to try and get her to trust me, i have been told to try handle her more but when i have tried it has always been a traumatic experience for her with a bit of chasing initially and she never seems to enjoy it,and it never improved anything,she doesn't purr and seems to just wait for it to end, i have tried leaving her alone and letting her come to me in her own time but that hasn't worked for 2 months now, i have tried treats and toys and i have been only gentle with her to try gain her trust but it doesn't seem to work very well,she has no problem walking past me to get to another room or sitting in the same room as me is also fine but i can't approach her at all. the woman at the shelter where i got her from, told me she didn't seem to like her either,she does not seem interested in catnip as well, i will not return her to the shelter as she deserves a good home but i would like her to enjoy her life and want love and attention. I have had many cats before who enjoyed long and happy lives and were all adopted from shelters but i have never had this problem before. she is not spayed and i would like to take her to a vet but i fear the chasing to get her in the cage and the visit to the vet will cause her great distress at the moment, any advice would really help.
