Can anyone help me out with the homebrew for wii?

My 2006 white nintendo wii does not work no more i repaired it twice and smash brothers brawl took it down. Everything still works but the disc reader. I herd you can still use it for homebrew and i didn't know that till now that i looked it on youtube. I don't trust none of those guys and could barley understand what the heck they are saying. So if anyone PROFESSIONAL that really knows whats the best homebrew for my nintendo wii and what apps i can download for the homebrew and whatever else i need to have fun with a broken 2006 slamed downed by SSBB nintendo wii please help!!! P.S. i like old hack and slash arcade games if you can find any of those for homebrew please tell me witch ones
