Should I feed my male cat diet for urinary problems even if he doesent have one yet?

IMO the answer to your question is "YES," definitely. Some years ago, one of my cats had UTI. I then discovered cat food which avoids urinary problems -- and since then, NONE of my cats has ever had UTI, and the one that had it never got it again. So I hope you will have as much good fortune from that special food as I have.
