PSP new "temporary" CFWs?

this question is for the advanced psp users, i know about the 5.00m33 and 5.50gend3 full cfw stuff, but what about all the new "temporary" "fast recovery" ones? i have a psp-1000(phat) but i still want those newest cfws like 6.35pro-bX and 6.38/6.39ME's because i want maz compatibility. BUT apparently these are the ones that, no matter what psp youre using, lose the cfw whenever you fully power off(instead of sleeping). you may ask why cant i sleep all the time its because often games/homebrew can crash, and a full power off is obvious. but i want to understand how the fast recovery type stuff for these new cfws work. i mean, if you turn it off and on again, doesnt that mean you lose the hack? how can you rehack it quickly? i heard there some sort of menu you can access, and cfw gets recovered. and if it works that way, will my psp settings be reset every time i reboot?
