If Royal Canin and Pedigree are low quality why do vets recommended it?

Because vets receive VERY little schooling on nutrition, and what little they DO get is usually sponsored by the Hills Co (makers of Science Diet). I pay absolutely NO attention to my vet, who warns me that my prey-model raw diet is no good because the calcium/phosphorus balance is off, and will create bone issues long term (despite the fact that wild carnivores have thrived on this diet forever-care to explain THAT?). Mother nature knows what she is doing, and if we pay attention, we will do better for out pets than feeding them out of bags filled with cheap, useless ingredients (carnivores do NOT need fruits, veggies and grains)with artificial vitamins & minerals added because big companies have convinced us this the only way to provide them with a "balanced" diet.
